Mouse feet

If you use your mouse directly on your desk or on a hard surface mousepad, the mouse feet can wear out over time. This makes mousing less smooth, and can even rough up your desk if you wear the feet down to the hard plastic.

To extend the life of my mouse feet and increase glide, I use teflon tape. Not the stuff used as thread seal on plumbing. This stuff: mousetape.com. The difference is especially noticeable on mice with really hard mouse feet (like Apple's Magic Mouse), but not as noticeable if you mouse on a cloth mousepad.
