DeVille side mirror

After seeing the side mirror dangle with the mount completely shattered, I thought it was done for. Finding a replacement part in the same color at a reasonable price would be difficult. And getting one painted to match the metallic beige on my mom's car would be expensive too.

So I decided to ghettogluefix this one with some epoxy and hope that it lasts. It's held up for two weeks now. Here's a look at taking apart the inner door panel to remove the broken pieces.

Laptop hard drive upgrade

Swapping out a slow 5400rpm drive for a much faster SSD (solid-state drive). It was cheap too, only $30 for 32GB during a Fry's sale. A great performance per dollar upgrade for laptops if you don't need much space.

DIY cardboard arcade

Props to this kid, Caine, who built his own arcade using cardboard boxes from his dad's auto parts store. This video will for sure put a smile on your face :)

Steering wheel controls

I touched up the controls on my steering wheel with some black acrylic paint. I also rewired the buttons so that the ones I used the most (next/prev) took the place of the larger and easier to press buttons (volume +/-).
